Pakistan’s lies will not change the reality of J&K

India rebukes Pakistan at the UN

New York (US) – “Jammu and Kashmir has been, is, and will remain an integral part of India. Recently, the people of Jammu and Kashmir exercised their democratic rights by electing a new Government. Therefore, Pakistan should refrain from spreading lies about Jammu and Kashmir, as it will not alter the reality,” stated India’s representative, Sudhanshu Trivedi, rebuking Pakistan at the United Nations.

The remarks were made during a meeting of the UN General Assembly’s Special Political and Decolonization Committee, in response to statements by Pakistan. Pakistan referenced the United Nations Military Observer Group in India.

Editorial Perspective

India has often rebuked Pakistan at the United Nations over Jammu and Kashmir, yet there has been no change in Pakistan’s stance. This is because Pakistan follows the policy of “Lie, but loudly.” Pakistan seems to understand the language of force more than words, and India must show the courage to respond accordingly.
