Verdict after 9 years

Panvel, Maharashtra – In the case of the murder of Assistance Police Inspector Ashvini Bidre-Gore from Alate Taluka Hatkangale in Kolhapur District, the suspended Senior Police Inspector Abhay Kurundkar has been proved guilty. Along with him his accomplices Kundan Bhandari and Mahesh Patil have also been declared guilty. The court has declared another accused Rajesh Patil free and innocent because of lack of evidence. The District Court of Panvel gave this decision on 5thApril 2025. The punishment will be declared on the 11thof April.

On the 11thof April 2016 Ashwini Bidre-Gore was killed and her corpse was chopped into pieces and thrown into the Vasai Creek. In this matter on 7thDecember 2017 the then Senior Police Inspector Abhay Kurundkar of Thane District was arrested. The decision in this matter has been given after 9 long years.
