Brampton (Canada) – On 3rd November, Khalistanis had assaulted Hindu devotees in the Hindu Sabha Temple here. Now, the temple priest has been suspended for allegedly making provocative remarks during the incident. A video of the priests was circulated on social media, wherein he was seen appealing to Hindus to unite and fight against such attacks.
Mayor of the City of Brampton Patrick Brown condemned the violence, saying no religious leader should make provocative statements or statements which could incite violence and hatred in the community. Majority of Sikhs and Hindus live in harmony in this place. They do not tolerate any kind of violence.
Following Mayor Brown’s statement, Hindu Sabha Temple President Madhusudan Lama suspended the priest. A statement has also been released by the temple in this regard.
Editorial PerspectiveStatements made in defense of Hindus are tagged as provocative. It is unfortunate for Hindus that Canadian people have also developed this attitude. |
