Washington (USA) – In the US presidential election, Republican candidate Donald Trump has emerged victorious, making him the 47th President of the United States. Trump defeated Democratic Party’s candidate Kamala Harris, securing 295 electoral votes, while Harris received only 226 electoral votes. Out of 538 electoral votes, 270 electoral votes are required to win with a majority. This will be Trump’s second term as president, having first been elected in 2016. In 2020, Democrat Joe Biden had defeated Trump.

After his victory, Trump addressed his supporters, stating that it was a historic political win which was never seen earlier by the country. He called it the greatest political moment in history, a major victory for America that will make the country great again. As the 47th President, he promised to fight every day for the American people, their families, and their future. He assured that everything would be set right for the voters, that the nation’s borders would be strengthened, and all issues would be resolved. He declared the next four years will be a ‘Golden Era’ for America, while thanking people for the solid mandate given by them.
Trump was joined at the event by his wife Melania, children, other relatives, and party leaders.

Vice-presidential candidate JD Vance also won in his constituency. Addressing the supporters after Trump, Vance described it as the greatest political comeback in American history and congratulated Trump.
