Infiltration responsible for the increase in Jharkhand’s Muslim population : Assam CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s statement

Ranchi (Jharkhand) – The indigenous population in Jharkhand’s Santhal Pargana region is rapidly declining, while the Muslim population is growing at a swift rate. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated at a campaign rally in the Santhal Pargana area that there are two possible reasons for this; either each Muslim family is giving birth to 10-12 children, or Muslims from Bangladesh are infiltrating Jharkhand.

Chief Minister Sarma further said,

1. We will burn the Lanka of infiltrators in Jharkhand

Sarma asserted that the BJP would certainly win the Assembly elections. However, he clarified that their primary objective is not merely electoral victory but to expel Muslim infiltrators from Jharkhand and ensure justice for women. He added, “Just as Hanuman burnt down Ravan’s Lanka, we will destroy the base of infiltrators in Jharkhand.”

2. National Register of Citizens (NRC) to be implemented after the BJP Government comes in the State

Sarma claimed that infiltrating Muslims in Jharkhand are being trained in madarasas and then registered for Aadhaar cards. He remarked that numerous such activities are emerging, and, therefore, a BJP-led Government in Jharkhand would implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the State.

Editorial Perspective

As the BJP is ruling the country, it is expected that the Union Government deports every infiltrator from the country and release the statistics of this action to the public; but the same is not happening.
