
Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) – Principal Secretary, Town Planning Department, Devesh Kumar has quashed the order issued by the Municipal Commissioner on 13thSeptember. The Municipal Commissioner had ordered demolition of the two floors of the Mosque. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for 20thOctober, at the Principal Secretary’s office. The stay order came in the wake of the challenge to the demolition order by Muslim Party. For the last few months, Hindu organisations have been agitating for the demolition of the Mosque.
Devesh Kumar has asked the Mandi Corporation to present its case attached with official records. Based on these records, final decision on Mandi Mosque will be taken.
