Petrol bomb hurled at Durga Puja pandal in Bangladesh

  • Police claim, the bomb was hurled by thieves

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – On the night of 11thOctober, in Tantibazar, an individual hurled a petrol bomb at the Durga Puja pandal, however, it did not explode. The security guards tried to catch the culprit, at this time a few of his accomplices rushed forward and attacked 5 individuals with knife. All of them got
injured in this conflict. This incident has got recorded in the video camera. The Police informed that 3 individuals named Akash, Hridoy and Jeevan, have been arrested.

Kotyali Police Station officer Inemul Hasan informed; some thieves snatched a gold chain worn by a woman at 8 p.m. When the people present their tried to stop them, they attacked 5 individuals with a knife. They also hurled a bottle. The bottle was filled with kerosene and used as a bomb. It did not explode. The bottle was used to create panic among people. The plan was to flee while people were panicky.
