
Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Bangladesh’s Army Chief, Waqar-uz-Zaman, has assured the Hindu community of providing security during Durga Puja festival. Zaman, who visited Dhaka to review security measures for the Durga Puja celebrations at the Dhakeshwari Temple, extended his best wishes to all Hindus. He held discussions with key officials, including the President of the Metropolitan Puja Committee and the Bangladesh Puja Celebration Council. He mentioned that, following the directives from the interim Government, the army has been deployed across Districts nationwide to ensure the safety of religious sites.
