India reprimands Pakistan yet again in the UN
New York (USA) – India has yet again reprimanded Pakistan at the United Nations, stating that Pakistan is dangerous for the world, and that it poses a significant challenge to global security, and conducting cross-border activities is part of that.
India further said,
1. The world has yet to reach a consensus on how to combat terrorism.
2. The world became aware of terrorism only after the attacks on the World Trade Center in the U.S. In November 1996, India took the initiative for a comprehensive discussion on global terrorism for the first time. Nearly 30 years later, there is still no consensus.
3. India has been facing cross-border terrorism even when the world was yet to take terrorism seriously. Over the past three decades, thousands of people have been killed in terrorist attacks in India. India will fight terrorism with a policy of zero tolerance.
4. It is unfortunate that some countries try to justify terrorism with political agendas. Such countries undermine the resolve to combat terrorism. Because of these countries, the mastermind of the Mumbai attacks still roams freely in various countries with Government facilities even after 15 years. These countries not only promote terrorism but also create policies for themselves through their governments and systems.
5. To divert attention from their own policies, these countries present themselves as victims of terrorism. Terrorist organisations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, which have been banned by the United Nations, continue to launch attacks on Indian soil. There is an urgent need to take action against them.
Editorial PerspectiveSince shameless Pakistan understands only the language of weapons, India needs to deal with it accordingly ! |
