Karkala (Karnataka) – A program was organised to celebrate Eid-e-Milad at an English medium school in Sacheripete, Mundkur village, Karkala Taluk. A video of this event has been widely circulated on social media. Pro-Hindu organisations have expressed displeasure over the event. It is being reported that the school’s director is a local BJP leader, and the event took place under his direction. The fact that he participated on stage has further fuelled the anger. Parents have alleged that Hindu students were forcibly made to sit in the front rows during the event.
Action Must Be Taken Against the School and Organisers – Mr Pramod Muthalik

Mr Pramod Muthalik, the founder-president of Sri Ram Sena, stated about the incident that it was an attempt to influence Hindu students to follow other religions. He urged the concerned department and education officers to take immediate action against the organisers and the school, warning that a strong agitation would be held in the future, if no action is taken.
