Terrorists convicted in bomb blast case

Patna (Bihar) – Patna High Court has commuted the death sentence of 4 terrorists who were found guilty in the case of bomb blasts in Gandhi Maidan in Patna on October 27, 2013. In this case, the Civil Court had sentenced 4 convicts to death, while 2 convicts were sentenced to life imprisonment. The High Court has commuted the death sentence of 4 terrorists to life imprisonment, while the life sentence awarded to 2 has been upheld. This decision has been given by the bench of Justice Ashutosh Kumar of the Patna High Court.

1. Numan Ansari, Mohammad Majibullah, Haider Ali, Imtiaz Alam were sentenced to death by a lower Court, which has now been commuted to life imprisonment by the High Court.

2. The High Court has upheld the life imprisonment of Umair Siddiqui and Azharuddin Qureshi.

3. Defense lawyer Imran Ghani said that he will appeal to the Supreme Court against this decision.
