The first Indian Prime Minister to visit Ukraine

Kyiv (Ukraine) – Prime Minister Modi met President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Both hugged each other. This time Prime Minister Modi put his hands on Zelensky’s shoulder. After this, both leaders went to the National Museum of Ukraine. There he paid tribute to the children killed in the Russia-Ukraine war. Prime Minister Modi will stay in Ukraine for 7 hours. A bilateral meeting will be held between the two leaders. PM Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Ukraine. Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, no leader of any country other than the ‘NATO’ countries has visited Ukraine. ‘NATO’ or ‘North Atlantic Treaty Organization’ is a military organisation with participation of 29 countries of the world.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in Kyiv after a 10-hour train journey from Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Here he was welcomed by people of Indian origin. Modi offered floral tributes to Mohandas Gandhi’s statue at Fomin Botanical Garden here.
