Kolkata – The rape and murder of a trainee female doctor in R.G. Kar Medical College has revealed a human organs’ smuggling racket. According to CBI sources, it is believed that the doctor was eliminated to prevent her from exposing an illegal organ smuggling ring operating within the hospital. The CBI has questioned 13 individuals as part of their investigation, bringing the total number of interrogations to 19 within two days. More than half of these witnesses have provided information about a human organ smuggling racket allegedly operating in the hospital. CBI officials claim that several high-profile individuals are involved, and they are expected to be exposed soon.
To make this incident appear less suspicious, the young doctor was raped. The medical college has been accused of sex and drug scandals for a long time. In August 2001, a student named Soumitra Vishwas died suspiciously in this college. He committed suicide. The threads of that incident are also related to the current incident.
According to CBI sources, this lead has brought forward the names of four individuals associated with the medical college, including three doctors and one house staff member. These four are reportedly linked to a political party and are accused of running the sex and drug racket. CBI officials are gathering concrete evidence against them.
