Release of ‘Rashtrotthan’ books, published by Vivek Prakashan

Mumbai, April 8th – In today’s era, running a newspaper has increasingly become a commercial enterprise. While it is natural to evolve with changing times, newspapers must not lose sight of their fundamental duty to society. The weekly ‘Vivek’ stands as an example of journalism that is driven by purpose and a deep sense of responsibility. This was asserted by Mr Dattatraya Hosabale, Sarkaryawah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, during the release ceremony of the book Rashtrotthan, published by Vivek Prakashan.“Newspapers play a vital role in social enlightenment, raising awareness, inspiring the community, nurturing sensitivity, and awakening a sense of duty among citizens,” he emphasized.
The program was organized on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Shukla Dashami, observed on April 7th, at Nico Hall, Wadala Udyog Bhavan.Gracing the occasion were Mr Ramesh Patange, President of Hindustan Prakashan Sanstha; Mr Rahul Pathare, Executive Head of Weekly Vivek; and Mr Ravindra Gole, Editor of the Book Department, Weekly Vivek. As part of the ceremony, the digital subscriber registration campaign for Weekly Vivek was officially launched, marking a step forward in the publication’s digital outreach and reader engagement.
On this occasion, Mr Dattatray Hosabale remarked, “The contribution of ‘Vivek’ in awakening social consciousness is truly incomparable. Journalism should serve as a medium to bring forth and highlight constructive efforts within society. One can never predict what may inspire someone or when. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is not merely an organization—it is a movement. The ideology of the RSS is rooted in the spirit of this land; it is nationalism in its truest form.
The primary focus of the organization should be the transformation of society. It is neither necessary for every individual to attend a Sanghshakha, nor is it expected that the Sangh will undertake every task. Various organizations are carrying forward this mission, and there is a need to bring such institutions together. The progress of the nation must remain the central objective. The Sangh is continuously working to instill this sense of national duty and consciousness in every citizen.”
On this occasion, Mr RavindraGole elaborated on the key features of the book ‘Rashtrotthan’. He informed the audience that the book comprises 80 thought-provoking articles, each offering insights into the theme of national resurgence.
