A scuffle broke out between MLAs of the ruling National Conference and the opposition BJP

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) – On April 8, the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly saw continued disruption over the Waqf Amendment Act, following a similar uproar on April 7. National Conference MLAs raised slogans within the House, calling for a discussion on the issue.

A scuffle broke out between MLAs of the National Conference and the BJP during the session. The previous day, National Conference MLAs had torn up a copy of the law, leading to the adjournment of the proceedings for the day.
