Kota (Rajasthan) – On the night of 15th August, at the ancient Shrinathji Charan Chowki Temple in Motipura village, fanatic Muslims broke in and threatened to kill the priest and bomb the temple after an objection was raised to wash the utensils used for non-veg food, outside the temple. (If Hindus had accidentally entered a mosque and done something similar, there would have been a nationwide uproar – Editor).
1. In his complaint to the Police, temple priest Sohanlal stated, “On the evening of 15th August, Muslims were consuming non-vegetarian food at a Dargah near the temple and washing the utensils used for the meat, near the temple. This caused a terrible stench. When I, along with Trilok, Tulsi, and Jitendra objected to the washing of utensils, a mob of 20 to 30 Muslims entered the temple with knives, abused us, and threatened to kill us. We saved our lives by locking the temple door from the inside. The Muslims who entered the temple threatened to blow up the temple with a bomb.”
2. Members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal submitted a memorandum to the Inspector General of Police, demanding strict action against the accused.
3. The Deputy Commissioner of Police here stated that a case has been registered under Section 298 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and raids are being conducted to apprehend those involved.
