Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) – The Aligarh district administration has inspected 94 madrasas in the district and declared them illegal. Orders have been issued to close all these madrasas. Around 2,000 students studying in these madrasas will be transferred to Government schools. Nidhi Goswami, the District Minority Officer, told the media that to extend the scope of verification, teachers from recognized madrasas have also been included in the team. These madrasa teachers will assist the administration in compiling a list of illegally operating madrasas.
