3 political party leaders killed in Tamil Nadu in 24 hours

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin

Chennai – In a span of less than 24 hours, leaders from three different political parties have been murdered in Tamil Nadu, leading to severe criticism of the State Government. The opposition has accused Chief Minister M K Stalin of failing to maintain law-and-order, creating an atmosphere of chaos in the State. The AIADMK has claimed that members of the ruling DMK are causing disruptions and that the Police, under Government pressure, are not
taking action against them.

1. AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Satyam highlighted that the murders of an AIADMK leader, a BJP leader, and a Congress leader occurred within a single day.

2. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala stated that the law-and-order situation in Tamil Nadu is becoming critical. In the beginning of July this year, the State witnessed the brutal murder of Armstrong, a Dalit leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party. Now the series of 3 killings proves that the law-and-order situation has gone out of Chief Minister M K Stalin’s control.

Editorial Perspective

Similar to Trinamool Congress ruled Bengal, where opponents are hunted down and killed, an alarming situation has also emerged in Tamil Nadu under DMK’s rule. This poses a significant threat to the law-and-order.
