Karnataka Congress Government’s anti-Hindu order bans the use of school grounds in Mangaluru for non-academic purpose

Mangaluru (Karnataka) – Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led Congress Government has passed an order prohibiting the use of Mangaluru school grounds and buildings for non-academic purposes. This order by the Director of South Kannada School Education Department, applies to the Government schools, government granted schools and non-granted schools. The order also states that no other proposal in this context should be sent to the education board for approval. If the order is not followed, the headmaster will be held responsible. After the order, the schools have been denied permission to celebrate Ganeshotsav and Janmashtami in their premises.
The BJP and pro-Hindu organisations said that in South Kannada District, school grounds are regularly used to celebrate the Hindu festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi and Shrikrushna Janmashtami. But this year, the Government seems to have decided to prevent these celebrations. BJP MLA Harish Punja has demanded that this order be withdrawn with immediate effect.
The order is being opposed on the social media as well. The citizens are claiming that the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had used these grounds for his election rallies earlier.
