Trinamool Congress Minister in Bengal Firhad Hakim appeals to Muslims

Kolkata (Bengal) – “Unfortunate are those who are not born in Islam. If we can offer them ‘Dawat’ (invitation to Islam) and instill in them ‘Iman’ (devotion to Islam), then we can please Allah,” stated Firhad Hakim, mayor of Kolkata city and a minister in the Trinamool Congress Government in Bengal on July 3. His statements have created a controversy. Hakim was speaking at the event of ‘All India Quran Tournament’ at Dhono Dhonyo Stadium in Kolkata.
Firhad Hakim further said,
If we can convert someone to Islam, we will prove that we are the true Muslims by spreading Islam.
When thousands of people sit with skull caps on their heads, it is seen by all. It shows our unity and also makes it clear that no one can suppress us.
We are born in Islam, so the Prophet and Allah have paved the way to heaven for us. If we do not commit any sin, we will go straight to heaven.
