One person killed in Chhattisgarh by Naxalites

Narayanpur – Naxalites dragged a 45-year-old man named Shaluram Potai out of his house in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur District and killed him due to suspicion of being the Police informer. The Police said Naxalites killed the innocent villagers out of frustration to thwart development works in the area and create an atmosphere of terror.

As per the preliminary information, 15-20 armed Naxalites clad in uniform, surrounded Potai’s house and dragged him out on a street while he was having dinner. Naxalites brutally thrashed him in front of his family and other locals and killed him before leaving the spot. After being alerted, a Police team was sent to the spot and the body was sent for post-mortem. The Kutul area committee of Maoists left pamphlets at the spot in which they claimed Potai was acting as a Police informer.

Police personnel killed by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh

Sukama – An incident has come to light wherein a Police Constable named Sodi Lakshman was killed by a small action group of Naxalites at Gadiras village in the Naxal-infested Sukama District of Chhattisgarh. The Naxals attacked him with a sharp weapon on his neck. He was killed on the spot. The Gadiras Police sent a team to the site to receive the information. Then the body was sent for post-mortem. The Police said they are investigating the matter and are on the lookout for the accused.

An IED explosion kills a villager in Telangana

Hyderabad – On 3rd June, a 55-year-old was killed by an IED explosion in the forest region of the Mulugu District of Telangana. It was planted there by a member of the banned organisation CPI (Maoist). The Police said that when the man stepped on the IED planted near the Kongal village in the Wazedu area, it exploded and he died immediately. The Naxalites plant IED devices in the places frequented by the people such that they can spread terror in the minds of the people. A case has been registered about this in the Wazedu Police station.
