Voting in the fourth phase
New Delhi – In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting for 96 seats spread across 9 states, Jammu and Kashmir and one Union Territory was held on 13th May. At the same time voting was held in the Assembly elections for 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP Congress MLA Annabathuni Shivakumar slapped a voter during the elections in Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. Reacting to this slap the voter also slapped Shivakumar. Thereafter some supporters of the MLA beat up the voter very badly. The reason for this incident was that the respective voter had objected to the MLA jumping the queue of voters instead of waiting for his turn in the line. On the other side, people pelted stones at the security forces in Munger in Bihar for not giving the slip at the time of the elections. The Police took two young individuals in custody following a lathicharge.
