The Central Jail in Patiala, Punjab, served as the central command centre
New Delhi – The intelligence agencies of India have obtained information regarding a conspiracy against India orchestrated by 5 Khalistani terrorists residing across 5 different countries worldwide. These terrorists have devised a plan named ‘Explore Khalistan’, with the Central Jail in Patiala, Punjab, serving as its command centre. Acting upon this intelligence, the Home Ministry has transferred the investigation into the matter to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
1. The conspirators include Baljeet Singh, alias Baljeet Maur, hailing from Maur Kalan village in Bathinda, Punjab, currently residing in the United Arab Emirates; Gurjant Singh, alias Janta, residing in Australia; Prince Chauhan from Canada; Aman Poorewal based in the United States; and Bilal Mansher, currently in hiding in Pakistan.
2. All five are associated with the Khalistan terrorist organisation known as Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). They contacted Khalistani terrorist Kamaljeet Sharma, who is serving sentence in Patiala jail. He is tasked with strengthening the Khalistani network in Punjab, facilitating arms smuggling, and raising funds for terrorist activities.
3. Kamaljeet is also working with newly recruited terrorists and has recently been interrogated by the NIA while in jail.
4. Crores of rupees are being sent from Punjab to UAE, USA, Australia, Canada, and Pakistan through Hawala. Further scrutiny has identified the recipients of these funds. Money sent from Punjab to these 5 countries is distributed to various terrorists associated with Khalistan Tiger Force. Additionally, it has been discovered that these funds originate from Patiala city in Punjab itself and are subsequently routed to other countries.
