Gadag (Karnataka) – The driver of ‘Vijayanand Travels’, one of the largest private bus operators in the country, recently performed a commendable act. With prompt vigilance, he handed over three individuals to the police for harassing a female passenger. This incident took place in Gadag, where on the night of 24th April, a Hindu woman boarded a bus from Hubballi to Hyderabad. She found a young man asleep on her reserved seat. When she asked him to move, he and his friends started arguing and misbehaved with her. Upon seeking help, the bus driver wisely diverted the bus to the local police station. After interrogating 15 people on the bus, the police arrested residents of Hubballi – Mohammed Yunus Munnasab Mudgal, Mohammed Gaus Rahimsab Shirhatti, and Mohammed Sadik Jafarsab Sheikhabad under section 110 for their misconduct. The trio have been detained.
