It was found that some holidays of Hindu festivals were abolished and Islamic holidays were extended. The Education Department has issued an explanation after the Government was criticised for this.
As per the list, the holidays on Hindu festivals viz. Makar Sankranti, Raksha Bandhan, Hartalika and Jitiya (a ritual performed by mothers for their children, in the month of Ashwin) have been scrapped along with the holiday on Gandhi Jayanti (birth anniversary).
They are using similar tactics like ‘Love Jihad’ used by religious fanatic Muslims and converting Hindu girls, followed by converting their families.
Singh said that in Bihar, Halal Certification is issued for food, edible oil, dry fruits, sweets, cosmetics, medicines, etc. Notably, the FSSAI is a Government agency that certifies these foods.
The BJP has criticised it by saying, “Nitish Kumar and Tejaswi Yadav who participate in the Iftar party, have decided to destroy Bihar’s culture.
“I apologise. I withdraw my statement. I seek pardon if anyone was hurt due to my statement or me.
The locals have been ensured that the culprits will be arrested soon and have been advised to be patient till then.
During the discourse, Shri Rambhadracharya also criticised the Nitish Kumar Government over the caste census in Bihar.
