It is clear that talks will not achieve anything because the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh are state sponsored.
India is our neighbouring country, and if our friendship is based on mutual interests and respect, it will benefit both countries and ensure a positive future.
It may be noted that after China, Bangladesh holds second position in the world in textile business. Contribution of the textile industry to the GDP of Bangladesh is 11% till 2024 which is substantial.
Mere acknowledgment is not enough; the Bangladeshi government must ensure no further attacks occur and compensate the affected Hindus.
The current Government is behind the killings, arson and atrocities on students and police. The murderers and conspirators who harmed our country will be held accountable according to the law.
Amid the rally, heavy security was deployed around the Indian High Commission. After the protest, three army contingents and Police forces continued to be stationed there.
It has now become essential for India to invade Bangladesh in order to quell the latter’s itch to enter into war with India !
Yunus also emphasized the importance of the right to practice one’s religion, asserting that it is a constitutional guarantee that must be upheld and protected.
