Statement by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif !
Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan, which has been accused of supporting attacks like the one in Pahalgam, must put a complete stop to such activities. As a “responsible country,” Pakistan is ready to participate in any fair and transparent investigation, declared Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He was speaking at an event organised at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul.
“India is Misleading the World”
Sharif further claimed that India is misleading the international community.
“Without conducting any credible investigation or presenting solid evidence, India is falsely accusing Pakistan and defaming our country,” he said. “Pakistan is ready to defend its sovereignty at all costs.”
“If Indus River water is stopped, we will respond with full force!”
Sharif warned that any attempt to stop or divert the waters of the Indus River will be met with full force. “Water is critical for Pakistan — it is a matter of life and death for our 240 million people. We will protect it at any cost. Pakistan seeks peace, but this should not be mistaken for weakness. Our armed forces are fully prepared to defend the nation,” he said. (In the last four wars, Pakistan has failed to achieve anything against India. It has survived until now because India practised Gandhian patience. Now, Pakistan is gasping its last breath; soon it may exist only in the pages of history. – Editor)
“Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan!”
Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing stance on Kashmir, quoting Muhammad Ali Jinnah:
“Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan.” He lamented that despite many proposals from America, the Kashmir issue remains unresolved.
“Pakistan will always support the right of Kashmiris to self-determination,” he asserted. Sharif also claimed that Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism, stating that more than 90,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives and the country has suffered economic losses exceeding $600 billion — a toll he described as unimaginable.
Editorial PerspectivePakistan has repeatedly refused to investigate various terrorist attacks carried out in India and has consistently rejected evidence presented by India. Hence, no matter what Pakistan claims, it is only pretending. India now knows that it will have to cross into Pakistan and punish the terrorists itself ! |
