Bangladesh allows Pakistani nationals to enter the country without security clearance

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Pakistani nationals previously had to obtain a no-objection certificate from Bangladesh’s security services department before applying for a Bangladeshi visa. However, this condition has now been lifted by Bangladesh’s interim Government. As a result, Pakistani citizens will now be able to enter Bangladesh without the security clearance.

Touhid Hossain, Bangladesh’s Advisor for Foreign Affairs

Bangladesh’s Advisor for Foreign Affairs, Touhid Hossain, said that the Government has been consistently working to improve relations with Pakistan. Just last month, direct maritime connectivity between Pakistan and Bangladesh began. Following this, a cargo ship from Karachi, Pakistan, reached the Chittagong port in Bangladesh through the Bay of Bengal.

Change in relations with India – Bangladesh

Touhid Hossain further mentioned that there has been a shift in relations with India since 5th August, and he believes India will understand how to move forward in its relations with Bangladesh under the changed circumstances. (India should not maintain any relations with Bangladesh. This will make Bangladesh realise the self-destructive consequences of its actions. – Editor)

Editorial Perspective

The decline of Bangladesh has begun. Before 1971, the same Pakistanis had killed 30 lakh people and raped lakhs of women in Bangladesh, i.e., the erstwhile East Pakistan. If Bangladesh overlooks this history, it should not be surprising if such events occur again.
