Police suspect the student of IIT Guwahati committed suicide

The family alleges that the boy was killed by ragging (torture) !

Guwahati (Assam) – A 20-year-old student of IIT Guwahati was found dead in his hostel. The police suspect that it was a suicide. The family alleged that their son was killed after ragging (torture). The student was a resident of Mohanpur village in Samastipur district of Bihar.

Police said that the incident took place around 5.30 p.m. on 10th April. He took this extreme step. The body has been sent for post-mortem and many things will be clear only after the report is received.

The father of the deceased, however, has claimed that it was a murder and has filed a complaint against the IIT, saying that it was due to the negligence of the IIT. He said it was murder, but the IIT administration is trying to turn it into suicide. My son was ragged many times. He also complained about this, but IIT ignored it.

IIT has yet to respond to these allegations, But condoled the death of the student and assured the family of all possible help.

In January, the suspicious death of a fourth-year female student of IIT Guwahati was also reported in a hotel.
