Europe must be prepared for war with Russia : Emmanuel Macron, President of France

French President Emmanuel Macron appeals !

France – ‘Russian President Vladimir Putin is an enemy of Europe. They won’t stop even after conquering Ukraine. Therefore, the people of Europe must respond firmly to Russia without appearing weak’, French President Emmanuel Macron appealed. In an interview with a local news channel, Macron said that if Russia achieves success in Ukraine, Europe’s credibility will be zero. Following his statement, the leaders of the opposition parties in France condemned Macron and said that he was speaking like a warmonger.

In a response to criticism, Macron said,

1. I disagree with the opposition leaders. By abstaining from supporting Ukraine today or making a decision like voting against aid to Ukraine, we are not choosing peace, we are choosing defeat. If war arises in Europe, Russia will be responsible for it.

2. If we choose to back out in fear today, I believe that we are accepting defeat, and I do not want this. I think Russia should put an end to this war immediately and cooperate in restoring peace.

3. France will never wage war against Russia. On the contrary, we have not taken an aggressive stance against Russia even after it has attacked entities in which France has vested interests.

4. Ukraine is facing a difficult situation today and needs help from its allies. Peace does not mean that Ukraine should surrender. It is not right to concede defeat for peace. If we want peace, we cannot leave Ukraine on its own.
