Puja to be performed on 1st and 2nd April

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) – Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust Chairman Ashutosh Pandey has released a video on social media challenging the District Administration and Shahi Eidgah Committee. Mr Pandey has said that Hindus would go to the site on 1st and 2nd April 2024, i.e. Saptami and Ashtami as per the Hindu almanac, to perform puja of the Krushna Koop (Well) built in the premises of the mosque. He has thrown a challenge to stop the proposed puja. Hindus will perform puja since it is their right. On 5th March 2024, the District Collector was approached seeking permission to perform puja, but there has been no response yet; however, Hindus will not change their plan.

Presently, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Police have been deployed to protect Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi Mandir and Eidgah. There is a thorough checking of every person entering these premises and a ban on carrying cell phones on both premises. On the release of the video of Pandey by the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust, vigilance has been beefed up by the District Administration.
