Bharatpur (Rajasthan) – There have been several incidents of Hindus being converted to Christianity by luring them with money and rations under the garb of Satsangs in the State. It has been revealed that an Italian organisation is behind these conversions. Conversion centres are functioning in many villages of Rajasthan. Information has surfaced that nearly 20,000 Hindus have been converted in Bharatpur.
Special Investigation Team formed to investigate the conversions
Prayer meetings were organised for conversions. Rations were distributed to the Hindus who came to these prayer meetings. They were assured that ‘diseases will be cured’. Financial problems of needy Hindus were also being addressed. The poor were being lured to be sent lakhs of rupees in aid in their bank accounts. Starting from small prayer meetings, this scam reached big farmhouses, resorts, hotels, etc. Mass conversions were done there. An investigation has been started after this entire case came to light. A special investigation team has been formed for this.

Lure of ₹2-5 lakhs for conversion
Local people said that Hindus are paid between ₹2-5 lakh to convert to Christianity. Former Sarpanch Tuhiram said that he had earlier warned those involved in acts of conversion, but they did not pay heed to it.
‘Italy connection’ of conversions
The name of ‘Labhana Ministry’ has come forward in the ongoing Christian missionary games in Bharatpur. Labhana Ministry is an organisation from Italy. They are trying to increase the number of Christians. Christian conversion centres are running at Pipla, Kanjoli, Gundwa, Bajhera, Noh Bahamdi, Bahnera, Rupwas, Gaghina, Bayana etc. in Bharatpur.
Pastor Bajinder Singh is the main accused
The Police foiled a big conversion scam by Christian missionaries in a hotel in Bharatpur on 11th February. 350 to 500 people participated in that event. Pastor Bajinder Singh joined the programme from Chandigarh. Hindus were being converted by showing various lures. Organisers of this event Kunwar Singh and Shailendra Singh have been arrested by the Rajasthan Police. Accused have converted more than 20,000 people in Bharatpur alone.
