New Delhi – Allahabad High Court had permitted the scientific survey of Shahi Eidgah Mosque on Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. The Supreme Court has given a stay order on this permission. Now the next hearing of this case will take place on the 23rd of January.
A Division Bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Deepankar Dutta has said, ‘A few legal complications have come up in this case, which need to be sorted out first. It is not clear why the petitioners had asked for a commissioner’s appointment, in the High Court. Their expectations from the local commissioner need to be clarified.
