Bharatiya Kisan Union leader killed in an attack on Hindus by religious fanatics

Religious fanatics became aggressive as Hindus were collecting donations for bhandara planned on Shriram temple inauguration day

Unnao (UP) – In an attack by gangster Kale Khan and his cronies, Vinod Kashyap, Bharatiya Kisan Union leader, got killed and his brother Durga Shankar Kashyap got injured. They were attacked with stones and bricks in the Muslim majority area in Gotakhor.

For a bhandara planned on the day of Shriram temple inauguration, Hindus were collecting donations. They were also chanting ‘Jai Shriram’, to which, Kale Khan opposed. An argument ensued and Kale Khan tried to snatch donation money. When Hindus retaliated, he and his cronies pelted stones at Hindus. When Vinod Kashyap received this information, he arrived at the spot. Kale Khan attacked him with bricks and stones and killed him. It is alleged that shots were also fired during violence. Following the incident, Hindus staged an agitation by blocking the road. The Police have registered a case and arrested a few people.
