Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati of Puri Peetha clarifies
`Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati
Gangasagar (Bengal) – “A misunderstanding has been spread that there is a difference of opinion between four Shankaracharyas on the issue of Shriram temple. We have no differences. All we wanted to say was that Deity Shriram’s consecration should be done according to the scriptures. An image or idol of Deity is ritually infused with the Deity principle. If proper worship and consecration are not done, negative energies are spread in all four directions and destroy everything. Therefore, we want that worship should be done according to the scriptures. All four of us say the same”, stated Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Puri Peetha clarifying that there is no difference of opinion between the four Shankaracharyas. He was speaking to a correspondent of ANI regarding the news spread in the society that ‘Shriram temple is opposed by all four Shankaracharyas’.
