The State Education Board has already printed the books

Bhagavad Gita to be taught in school, Gujarat government has announced the curriculum
Karnavati/Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – Shrimadbhagawadgeeta will be taught in schools in Gujarat from the next academic year. Prafulla Pansheriya the Minister of State for Education made this announcement on the occasion of Geeta Jayanti on 22nd December. He said that the Geeta will be taught to the students of Class VI and VIII from the next academic year. The books have already been printed by the State Education board.

Pansheriya further said,
1.The Shrimadbhagawadgeeta, the greatest scripture of Sanatan Dharma, is the essence of our entire life. It has unique points regarding building a better society, spirituality, management, leadership, creativity, developing values etc.
2.I am happy that the students will recite the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta and achieve high goals without accepting defeat when facing adversities in life. Their attitude will change. Education received at this young age will be remembered throughout their lifetime.
