Bhubaneswar (Odisha) – Odisha Police’s Special Action Force has arrested a Kashmiri Muslim named Syed Ishan Bukhari from Jajpur District. He used to deceive people by pretending to be an official in the Prime Minister’s Office, sometimes a medical officer in the Indian Army, sometimes a ‘Neuro-Surgeon’, sometimes an officer of the National Investigation Agency. He has contacts with many suspects in Pakistan. Due to this, he is also suspected to be a Pakistani spy. Many evidences have also been found against him.
1. Syed Ishan Bukhari, nicknamed as Dr Ishan Bukhari, is a resident of Kupwara in Kashmir. He has been living in Odisha since 2018.
2. Syed has changed his identity and married an estimated 6-7 girls in several States including Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha. Police said that he also had sexual relations with many girls.
3. The young man holds medical degrees from several international universities. Odisha Inspector General of Police Jai Narayan Pankaj said medical degrees awarded by Cornell University in the US, Canadian Institute of Health Services and other universities have been confiscated from Syed.
4. Apart from this, 4 mobile phones, several identity cards and blank cheques along with many documents have been seized.
