Need to improve ties with India and Afghanistan; and strengthen with China : Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif

Islamabad (Pakistan) – The three-time former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif said that improving ties with India, Afghanistan, and Iran, and strengthening ties with China was on his party Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N)’s agenda.

“I should be told why I was ousted in 1993 and 1999. When I opposed the Kargil plan saying it should not happen… I was ousted (by Gen Pervez Musharraf) And later what I said proved right,” Sharif said.

Regarding former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Sharif said that during Imran Khan’s Government, Pakistan’s economy suffered a lot. I do not know why an inexperienced person like Imran Khan was given the reins of power.

Editorial Perspective

Nawaz Sharif also knows what Pakistan should do to improve relations with India. Is he prepared to take action against Jihadi terrorists, will Pakistan return occupied Kashmir to India ?
