Kolkata – Now everything is becoming saffron. We are proud of our cricketers and believe that the will be World Cup winners; but they have begun to wear saffron jerseys for their practice sessions. Earlier they used to wear blue colours. Now the Metro stations are being painted saffron as well. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee criticised the BJP on the occasion of the inauguration of the Jagatdhatri Puja.

She added without naming the BJP, ‘I have no objection to installing statues; but they are trying to paint everything saffron. Power and Governments come and go. This country is of the people, and not of only one party.

BJP responded to Mamata Banerjee saying, Mamata Banerjee has painted entire Kolkata in the colours Blue and white.
