Raebareli (UP) – A 9-year-old Hindu Dalit girl was raped by a 55-year-old Muslim man named Peer Mohammad. The girl’s condition has deteriorated after the rape and she has been sent to Lucknow for treatment. Peer Mohammad is absconding. The Police are searching for him.
According to media reports, a Hindu Dalit woman from a village in Rae Bareli District filed a Police complaint that her 9-year-old daughter was raped by Peer Mohammed. The complaint mentioned that her daughter was playing outside the house in the evening. Peer Mohammad was passing by when he saw the girl playing and no one around her. He lured her to a nearby field and raped her. The cries and screams of the victim had no effect on him. Mohammad left the girl in a pool of blood in the field and ran away. As the girl was missing for a long time, the family members searched in the field and found her injured and crying. The victim is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The Police have registered a case under the ‘POCSO’ Act against Peer Mohammad. They said that the accused would be arrested soon.
