Shashi Tharoor excluded from the guest list of the Islamic organisations supporting Palestine

The consequence of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s statement calling Hamas’ attack a terrorist attack

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – The Mahal Empowerment Mission, an Islamic organisation in Kerala, has removed Congress MP Shashi Tharoor from its guest list at an event organised in support of Palestine on 30th October. On 26 October, MP Tharoor termed the attack by Hamas as a “terrorist incident”. When he was the chief guest at an event organised by the Indian Union Muslim League in Kozhikode, Kerala. Elaborating on this statement, however, Tharoor said ‘I am always with the people of Palestine. The people have a disagreement on only 25 seconds of my 35-minute speech.’

Shashi Tharoor also said that innocent people are being killed every day in war. Hospitals are being bombed. Human rights are being blatantly violated. I want to say that when those (Hamas) terrorists killed unarmed people, the whole world condemned it. Now everyone is protesting against Israel’s bombing. There have been terrorist attacks from both sides.
