Meanwhile, Thomas Hand from Ireland, a distraught father of an 8-year-old girl who was killed by Hamas has expressed his satisfaction. He felt that the killing of his daughter, Emily, was a blessing.

Thomas Hand said,

1. Emily was shot dead by Hamas terrorists. It was better that the girl died than suffer torture.

2. When I received the news that Emily had died in a Hamas attack, I accepted the fact with a smile, because that is the best news of the possibilities I knew.

3. Had she not died, she would be in Gaza today. You also have an idea of what would have happened with her in Gaza. She would have faced torture worse than death. They have no food, no water. There she would have lived in a dark room. Every minute and hour, she would have lived in fear. Therefore, her death is a blessing.
