Bhopal (MP) – “Today I want to tell the people of our country and of Madhya Pradesh something important. The Congress has given away all its power to take decisions. We are witnessing that grassroot leaders of Congress have been sitting quietly with their mouths locked. Congress was ruined, then they became bankrupt, and now they have given their contract to someone else. Congress is no longer being run by its leaders. Now, it is outsourcing everything from slogans to policies … Who holds the contract of Congress ? Congress’ contract is with some Urban Naxals, who are running the show in Congress. This is what every Congress worker feels on the ground”, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the Mahakumbha of Bharatiya Janata Party karyakartas (Workers) here.
Prime Minister Modi went on to say that after India had obtained Independence, Madhya Pradesh had been under Congress rule for a long time. In this period, the Congress transformed the resource-rich Madhya Pradesh into a BIMARU State (‘BIMARU’ acronym is used to refer to Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, to imply they have lagged in terms of economic growth, healthcare and education).
Scandals plagued Madhya Pradesh during the Congress rule. The politics of appeasement and polarisation were practised by this party, which led to further damage to the State. Congress will once again make Madhya Pradesh a BIMARU State.
