Chetan Rajhans
Mumbai – Vaibhav Raut, a devout Hindu and a member of ‘Hindu Govansh Raksha Samiti’, has been granted bail in the Nalasopara case recently. He has been accused of ‘being in possession of a bomb’ in this case. Loksatta, a Marathi daily, has published a news article about Vaibhav’s bail and referred to him as an ‘alleged member of Sanatan’. In the news article, Loksatta has purposely published the photograph of Chetan Rajhans, National Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha, instead of Vaibhav’s photograph. This is yet another mischievous attempt by Loksatta to connect Sanatan Sanstha with this case. Chetan attends various programmes in society on a daily basis; he also represents Sanatan Sanstha on several news channels. He is a familiar face within the print and electronic media. In fact, he has also visited Loksatta’s office many times. Despite that, Loksatta has attempted to falsely connect Sanatan Sanstha with this case by printing Chetan’s picture in the news article. This attempt to deliberately defame Sanatan Sanstha and Chetan Rajhans is condemnable.
Despite clarifying several times that Sanatan Sanstha has no connection with the Nalasopara case, the news article repeatedly calls Vaibhav Raut an ‘alleged member of Sanatan Sanstha’. The article also says that ‘Raut and other accused were active members of Sanatan Sanstha’. ‘Loksatta has deliberately defamed Sanatan Sanstha and its National Spokesperson; hence we’ve started the process of taking a legal action against Loksatta’, said Chetan.
