It is important for temples to realise that there should be an ideal dress code in the temple : Ramesh Shinde, HJS

For the first time in Ratnagiri District, Mr Ramesh Shinde unveiled the banner for dress code awareness on behalf of ‘Shri Gramdev Juna Kalbhairav Devasthan Trust’ at Chiplun

Chiplun (Ratnagiri) – ‘Practically, dress code is applicable in schools, hospitals, Government offices, etc. Similarly, in the temple too, there is a science behind what are the appropriate clothes to wear so that the devotees can benefit from the Chaitanya in the temple. However, the Hindu society remained deprived of this information for a long time. It is necessary to impart this knowledge to the Hindus. To achieve this, many temples in Maharashtra are in favour of installing an awareness banner in the temple. It is very important for temple organizations to feel that there should be an ideal dress code in their temples’, Mr Ramesh Shinde, National Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, said.

On the 27th of August, a dress code awareness board was unveiled by Mr Ramesh Shinde and HBP Abhay Maharaj Sahasrabuddhe, Trustee of Shri Bhargavram Parashuram Sansthan, on behalf of Shri Gramdev Juna Kalbhairav Devasthan Trust in the city. Mr Shinde was speaking at that event.

Giving information about the dress code, Mr Shinde said, ‘So far, dress code notice banners have been put up in 165 temples in Maharashtra. A state-level meeting of temple trustees was held in Jalgaon in the month of February this year in the presence of 377 temple trustees, including Ashtavinayak, 5 Jyotirlingas, three and a half Shaktipeethas, to discuss various problems of the temple and its trustees’. Mr Shinde thanked ‘Shri Gramdev Juna Kalbhairav Devasthan Trust’ for giving him the opportunity to unveil these awareness banners in Ratnagiri, the founding land of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. Mr Ramesh Shinde was felicitated on behalf of the temple.
