Muzaffarnagar, UP : 25 Muslims offer namaz on road outside the mosque

Muzaffarnagar (UP) – Police registered a case after a video of 25 Muslims offering namaz on the road outside Rehman Mosque went viral on social media. Maulana (Islamic scholar) Naseem, the imam of the mosque, was arrested. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh said that a case has been registered under IPC Section 341 and efforts are being made to identify other Muslims from the video.

Last year, many pro-Hindu organisations started reciting Hanuman Chalisa and Sundarkand on the road to protest namaz on road. Due to this, namaz on road was banned in some states of the country including Uttar Pradesh.
