Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale

Farmagudi, Ponda (Goa) – The Birth Anniversary of Shrimannarayan Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale every year is a precious Celebration for seekers. Seekers benefit from the soothing Online Darshan (Glimpse) of Shri Guru every year. This year, however, they were to have the bhav-enriched Darshan of Shri Guru in person, and hence, they waited for Gurudev (Sachchidananda Parabrahman [Dr] Athavale) with eyes wide open !

For the first time, thousands of devotees were blessed to see Gurudev in person in the ‘Brahmotsav’, which was celebrated magnificently. Despite the hot May weather, everyone was captivated by the cool shade of Gurudev’s grace-filled presence as Shrimannarayan (meaning, Shri Vishnu). They saw Him to their heart’s content and had Shri Guru’s Darshan in the form of Shri Vishnu riding a Divine chariot as instructed by the Saptarshis.

The Divine ‘Brahmotsav’ was held on the grounds of Goa Engineering College at Farmagudi, Goa on Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s 81st Birth Anniversary.

On this occasion, seekers presented a cultural programme comprising singing, playing of music and dancing to Shri Guru. Seekers had the bhav-enriched Darshan of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale in the form of Shri Vishnu and His Spiritual Heirs – Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Nilesh Singbal and Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Mukul Gadgil. With Shri Guru’s form engraved in their hearts, the seekers were drenched in bhav (Spiritual emotion) and constantly experienced awakening of bhav till the end of the Celebrations.

Over 10,000 seekers, devout Hindus, advocates, well-wishers from Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and other parts of India benefitted from this bhav-enriched Celebration. Over 4,000 seekers and spiritually curious people in India and abroad had Online Darshan of the ‘Brahmotsav’. (‘Brahmotsav’ literally is a Celebration to commemorate an offering made by Deity Brahma to Shri Vishnu, praising Shri Vishnu through various Art-forms such as dancing, singing and playing of musical instruments !) This is how the ‘Brahmotsav’ of Deity Tirupati Balaji, seated in a golden chariot, is celebrated in Andhra Pradesh.

The reason why Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale dresses up as various Deities as per Maharshi’s instructions

“When I dress up as Ram, Krushna and Shri Vishnu, some people criticise me – ‘Doctor (Athavale) considers himself to be Ram, Krushna and Shri Vishnu !’ They do not know that I dress up only to obey the instructions of Maharshi. Following is the spiritual science underlying this aspect.

A principle in Spirituality says – ‘Word, touch, form, taste, fragrance and their energies co-exist’. Accordingly, when we chant the Name of a Deity, the principle of that Deity becomes partially active at that place and people benefit. This is precisely why children are named after Deities. Likewise, dressing up like a Deity also gives the benefits of that Deity’s principle. It is for this reason that Maharshi instructed me to dress up as various Deities.

One important point is that if someone who is at a low spiritual level chants the Name of a Superior Deity or dresses up as that Deity, he may not be able to tolerate the Deity’s spiritual energy and may even suffer. However doing this on the instructions of Saints and the spiritually evolved individuals, one can tolerate the spiritual energy of the respective Deity due to their Sankalpashakti (Energy of resolve) and benefit from it at the spiritual level.” – Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale (12.5.2023)

Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published in SanatanPrabhat are according to the Principle – ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences.
Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale has never called Himself an Avatar (Incarnation). Nor does Sanatan Sanstha call Him an Avatar.

According to the ancient and profound Nadibhavishya, the Saptarshis have written the future of every individual.

Saptarshis have written the Jeevnadipattis through H.H. (Dr) OmUlagnathan, who says in Tamil that Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale is an Incarnation of Shri Vishnu.
