At China’s insistence, Russia sends crude oil to Pakistan !
Islamabad (Pakistan) – Since the Russia Ukraine war, a complete upheaval in international politics has been observed. The world has been divided into two blocks, those supported by the US and those receiving Russian support. Though India has kept itself away from both the blocks, it has started importing large quantities of Russian crude oil during this very period. This led to many Western nations exerting pressure and even threatening India to stay away from Russia. Now Russia has hinted that it will increase its trade with Pakistan. It is being said that this is a major setback for India.
At China’s insistence, the first cargo of Russia’s crude oil reached Pakistan’s Karachi port on 12th June. Moreover on 13th June, Sergey Lavrov who is the Foreign Minister of Russia stated that we intend to improve our trade relations with Pakistan.

So far Pakistan and Russia did not have cordial relations. Now the question arises whether this new stance of Russia will turn out to be harmful for India. Russia’s stance is being considered significant because Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit the US in a few days.
