Action taken after CBI provided this information

Patna (Bihar) – Mohammad Shamim Farooqui, who was working as a doctor at the famous Paras Hospital here, has been dismissed after it was revealed that he was a fake doctor. A case has been filed against him and he is absconding. Police are looking for him.
Farooqui is a native of Darbhanga District of Bihar and attended Nepal’s Kathmandu University for medical education. Even after failing the examination there, he forged a university degree from there. He also failed the ‘Foreign Medical Graduate’ examination, which is required for foreign medical graduates to practice medicine in India. Despite this, he got the documents of a doctor named Mohammad Javed who had cleared the exam and made a fake certificate and on that he worked in a hospital in Haryana for some time and from December 2020 onwards in Paras Hospital in Patna.

Even after CBI announced a list of 74 fake doctors across the country in December 2022, for almost 6 months Paras hospital was unaware that Farooqui’s name was on the list. A few days ago, when CBI informed the hospital about this, the hospital fired him from the job.

If CBI had not informed about this, then this fake doctor would have continued to work. Therefore, strict action must be taken against the guilty officials of hospital management who endangered patients’ lives by keeping fake doctor on the job. |
