Surgical Strike – The need of the hour to end Naxalism and Jihad

1. 10 soldiers martyred in Dantewada Naxal attack

A bomb blast on 26.4.2023 detonated by Naxals in Dantewada (Chhattisgarh) resulted in the killing of 10 soldiers of the District Reserve Guards and a driver. (These people were earlier involved in Naxal operations, but had surrendered and accepted the job as local soldiers.) These soldiers were returning after carrying out an anti-Naxal operation. It was learnt that 50 kg of explosives were used in this blast. A big crater created in the road due to this explosion, was enough to show the intensity of this blast. As usual, reasons such as ‘foreign hand’ or ‘Pakistan-sponsored actions’ were given for this heinous act; however, they cannot take place without the involvement of locals. There is no doubt that this is a Pakistan sponsored act. Earlier, Indian soldiers followed the policy of not attacking Pakistani soldiers during Eid; however, Pakistani soldiers would without fail, attack the Indian soldiers, knowing that their Indian counterparts would not retaliate. Fortunately after 2014, there has been a change in this policy.

2. An unfortunate end for the soldiers who ceaselessly served the country in very adverse conditions

Like every year, fanatics rioted on Ram Navami this year and our Police and politicians threw Iftar parties for them. Are we going to learn anything from their experience ? Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar had clearly said during the Partition of our country – “The Muslims of India are an exclusive group. They long to belong to their group only and not to any other group”. So why are we feeding them ? Why do we show mercy to them ? Give our soldiers a chance to display their bravery ! Later investigations revealed that 2 Indians and 5 Pakistanis were involved in the heinous act. Hindu Hridaya Samrat (Emperor of Hindu hearts) Balasaheb Thackeray always alluded to the participation of locals in such attacks. For the past 75 years, our politicians have been saying that terrorism has no religion. That our brave soldiers who ceaselessly serve the country under adverse condit-ions should meet such an end is difficult to digest.

3. Jihadi terrorism and Naxalism are still very much alive

Although the Union and some State Governments claim that the Jihadi attacks in Kashmir and Naxalism in various States have been brought under control, neither has been completely uprooted. A team of Rashtriya Rifles (A counter-insurgency force to serve in the Jammu & Kashmir region) organised an Iftar party for local Muslims at Poonch. Terrorists attacked the truck which was carrying material for this party. Five soldiers were martyred in this terrorist attack. The point to note is, why should these local Muslims be given a feast for Iftar ? Is it so that they can attack Indian soldiers ? Every time, political leaders perform their duty of attending the funeral processions of our martyred soldiers and announce assistance of a few lakhs to their families. It is unfortunate that even after 75 years of Independence, the heinous acts of terrorism and Naxalism continue.

4. Political parties must unite to end Naxalism & Jihad

The bold and diplomatic Union Government launched a surgical strike on Pakistan and presented a different identity of India to the world. Indian soldiers showed unparalleled courage against the Chinese attackers. Our soldiers also brought back Indian citizens stranded in adverse conditions abroad by safely carrying out missions like ‘Operation Ganga’, ‘Operation Kaveri’. The law and order situation within the country has improved; however, terrorism and Naxalism are not yet over.

Pakistan rants that India can launch a surgical strike on its territory any moment and under this pretext it continues its Jihadi activities. Our politicians keep their party’s interest above National interests and security, and make it appear that the Union or State Governments are responsible for these attacks by picking on each other’s weaknesses. They go on to elaborate how Pakistan is not responsible for these incidents. For all these reasons, it is very necessary to establish the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ in India.

It is unfortunate that even after 75 years of Independence, the acts of terrorism and Naxalism continue in our country !
